Justin Ugochukwu (b. 1998, The Netherlands) is a lens-based artist, archivist and researcher. Currently studying (BA) Photography, Film and Digital arts at ST. Joost School of Arts and Design (Breda, The Netherlands).

With an interest in topics such as polarization, transgene rational trauma, black identity and masculinity, Ugochukwu defines his artistic practice as a way to combat imperialistic ideology and post-colonial narratives. Visually sharpened to debate and debunk. In its core, Ugochukwu's work can be categorized as documentary photography because of its sociological and observative nature, yet his work hold deep ties towards visual arts and design through multiple ways of researching.

Ugochukwu uses mediums such as: photography, text and print making resulting in installations, sculptural pieces or publications. He also has an interest in video jockeying and uses this medium as a way of visual storytelling during nightlife. In 2023, together with three colleagues, Ugochukwu started COHEISA, a multidisciplinary a
rt collective focused on performance and installation art.
